that has been through at least Rtk1. Preferably has become fluent since then. I have to do an English project about heroes and I choose James Heisig basically because it was the first person to come to mind. So it would probably be questions about how his method helped you to get to where you are in Japanese (preferably fluent again) and how other methods didn't help. It will be awhile before I actually need to do this so just subscribe if you are interested. I will most likely just add the questions here and allow anyone to post answers or send me an email or something. Thanks in advance to anyone who is interested in participating!

I'll cooperate. But I have to confess that I don't really think that RTK1 was key to fluency in the language. It's just an very preliminary step to literacy. Similar to learning the alphabet. In a way, though, it is crucial, since it is a great way to attack literacy. Literacy opens doors to bodacious input sources which can supply an inhuman variety of vocabulary, grammar, culture, etc.

Dr. Heisig is still a hero, though!

Maybe you could try to contact The Man himself. Fellow member taijuando did a really great (and inspirational) interview with Heisig for kanjiclinic a while back.
