What to study after Tobira (intermediate textbook after Genki Series) - ariesmethod - 2013-12-03 I just finished studying Tobira with about 1k kanji memorized and vocab associated with the textbooks. My listening and speaking skills are bad cause of self studying, but I figured the more I read, the easier it is to speak and listen overtime (hopefully!). What should I do after this? I considered Anki but I have no clue what decks to study. I'm trying to take the most efficient way to learn Japanese (8-10 hours studying a day) so any recommendations would be great. What to study after Tobira (intermediate textbook after Genki Series) - PotbellyPig - 2013-12-03 I went with the Kanzen Master N2 Grammar Workbook and then the N1 workbook after Tobira. The N2 and N1 grammar constructs are crucial to reading. What to study after Tobira (intermediate textbook after Genki Series) - rich_f - 2013-12-03 Reading won't help your speaking as much as speaking will help your speaking. This was my experience, but I found the best way to get good at speaking Japanese is to, surprisingly, speak a lot of Japanese with anybody who can speak Japanese. It helps to talk to natives who can correct your mistakes on a regular basis, and explain what's what, but it's just as useful to talk to other non-native speakers, too. Skype can be useful for this, or get involved with your local community. As for listening, podcasts are free. NHK radio news is great practice, but hard at first. There's a ton of stuff out there, but you have to dig a little, and you have to listen on a regular basis. Talking to people also helps with listening. Two birds, one stone. What to study after Tobira (intermediate textbook after Genki Series) - ariesmethod - 2013-12-03 Should I utilize Anki as well? I probably know about 3-4k works right now so it might be review for a couple of weeks. Also, is there a website or place where I can find people to practice speaking Japanese? There's hardly any Japanese native speakers in my area. Then I ask for their skype so we can voice-call. It's a one-on-one chatroom so you won't be overwhelmed with a lot of people writing at once. What to study after Tobira (intermediate textbook after Genki Series) - Aikynaro - 2013-12-03 If you want to use Anki, subs2srs is good for improving your listening and vocabulary at the same time. It's not particularly efficient though, given you have to make your own cards and fiddle with subtitle files. |
