I appreciate all your hard work, I'm waiting til I you add these and the other things into a v20 before I start core. I don't want to have to contend with merging decks and other complicated things!
V20 is out.
I added 1325 new words from JLPT and I added 4 fields that were mention in one of the posts above.
Otsukare sama!
I would like to add information about word frequency field to each card. I'll have to find a frequency list somewhere.

core-6000.txt uses http://jptxt.net/word-frequency.txt, which is an average of three word frequency lists:

- A list I made based on a corpus of anime and drama subtitles analyzed with MeCab.
- word_freq_report_jparser.txt from cb's Japanese Text Analysis Tool thread, which is based on a corpus of novels analyzed with JParser.
- http://corpus.leeds.ac.uk/frqc/internet-jp.num, which is based on a corpus of websites analyzed with ChaSen. It only includes the top 15,000 words though.

You might just as well use only word_freq_report_jparser.txt though.

I feel like I'm probably overlooking something, but after downloading your deck, and going into deck options to set the number of new cards and reviews, even after changing the deck's options group to its own one (which I've called "core"), it still comes up as "11 cards due for review"... For example, I set the core2k6k10k deck's options group to be "core", and set that group's options to be 500 new cards a day (just to get all the vocab I already know out of the way), but when I click ok, still it says 0 new, 0 learning, and 11 to review. But I haven't even studied any cards from this deck... I don't know what I've done wrong!

I have no idea what is going on.
You can select all cards and click on Edit -> Reschedule -> OK. That should reset all cards.

What's the logic behind suspending some of the cards?

"deck:Core 2k/6k/10K Further Optimized PIC/SOUND::Core 0k-10k::Core 06k" card:recognition isConfuseduspended 2602
"deck:Core 2k/6k/10K Further Optimized PIC/SOUND::Core 0k-10k::Core 06k" card:production isConfuseduspended 3418

They are not supposed to be suspended. It must be some sort of bug. I guess for some reason that information was exported from my own deck.

Fell free to unsuspected all of them. If they are in fact suspended I guess this bug should be reported to Anki's creator.

Next time I'll unsuspected all cards before releasing deck. Thanks for reporting it.

Core 10k - optimized i+1 version - Vempele - 2013-10-31

I unsuspended everything and now it says I have 69 to review in Core6k and 3 in 10k-6k. It also thinks I've had 11644 reviews, 8-12 weeks ago. Weird.

Reschedule->place at the end of new card queue. I guess I'll have to resort the deck afterwards?

This option should both reschedule all cards, as well as put them in the same order as they are in the search window.

Edit: nevermind, I hadn't RTFM.

Thanks for the help!
The suspended cards, are they the ones highlighted in purple in the browse screen?

Core 10k - optimized i+1 version - Vempele - 2013-10-31

No, yellow.

I wondered what the vocab-frequency field on V18 was when you mentioned adding a frequency field to each card! I guess it is the frequency numbers from core-6000.txt then? I am starting to move any 'frequent' vocabulary to the front of my new cards queue (to help with reading) so it would be nice to know that the field is what I think it is!

Yes, those are numbers from core-6000.txt. However, in version 21 I'll include that information for every word. That is the line number of word represented by given file in the following list: http://jptxt.net/word-frequency.txt

Anki 2.0.16 is out and this is one of the changes:

Quote:Fix cards not being completely reset when exported from a filtered deck.
That's probably the reason for the strange behavior people were getting?

I'm not sure. I didn't export any filtered decks.

I'll have to update my deck from v18 to v21 then. For some reason I my Core 6k is split between two different card types, so I have some work tidying up when the time arrives.

I'm planning to merge two different types of cards used in range 0k-6k and 6k-10k. That should made dealing with those cards easier in the future.

EDIT:
I think that it wasn't a good idea to move JLPT cards from supplementary deck to the main deck, because those cards have different formats. I'll keep cards in range 0k-10k in the main deck (1 card type) and the remaining cards (JLPT + cards from Core PLUS - 1 card type) in the supplementary deck.

I'll either remove Tanuki cards from the supplementary that. I found out that it doesn't have too many common words, I didn't use it at all while learning either.
If someone still wants to access those cards then I'll create a separate deck that contains only cards from Tanuki. I want to do this change in order to keep 1 card type per deck.

So what is the purple colour then? I'm sorry, I'm really new to anki, and don't understand most of it...

Core 10k - optimized i+1 version - Vempele - 2013-11-02

Purple stands for tag:marked, according to the manual. I don't know why they're marked.

You can search for suspended cards by adding isConfuseduspended to the search string.

I released v21 of Core2k/6k/10k optimized deck. The issue with card reviews should be fixed.
https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/702754122

I also released updated version of the supplementary deck V4:
https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1132075078

Core 10k - optimized i+1 version - Vempele - 2013-11-02

Both issues are still present. I updated Anki and deleted v20 before downloading v21.

Exporting to text and back got rid of the statistics about the phantom reviews.

But it messed up the cards.

What's the point of having the translation of the sentence on the front side of recognition cards? Also, why all the linebreaks?

I was going to report that the deck made Anki laggy, but it turns out Anki itself got laggy with 2.0.15 (16 doesn't improve the situation). How can anyone stand using it, let alone fail to notice the regression?
