Human Hard Drives - tashippy - 2013-06-16 http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/16/sports/golf/in-golf-moments-good-and-bad-are-well-remembered.html?pagewanted=all I thought that might be an interesting article for people doing RTK right now. Edit: Also, the golfers' perfect recollection of the features and wind etc on a course reminds me of kanji villages. I think someone linked an article here a couple months back about how scholars had to memorize whole tomes before books were widely available. Human Hard Drives - uisukii - 2013-06-16 As soon as I saw the thread title, an instantaneous comparison to human memory stores and solid state hard drives. It's a damn good thing for generations of peoples now and in the future, having an increasing sizable cache memory in the form of internet search engines and electronic SRS.
