DoBJG Anki Deck - uisukii - 2013-11-08 *update* Anki Deck has been uploaded (link on front page) Spreadsheet (sheet 2) is what the Anki Deck is based off. For those interested in altering the colour of the highlighted grammatical points in each sentence, in the spreadsheet select columns which contain both Japanese sentences and Japanese sentences rendered into kana, and using "Find and Replace", search for <font color="#0055ff"> and replace the #0055ff with any HTML colour code you desire. This will, upon reimporting the .csv, change every entry. See http://html-color-codes.info/ For colour picker. Currently in the process of creating a close-delete version of the speadsheet/deck. I will forewarn those interested in using the close-delete deck: unless you already have a rather decent knowledge of the grammatical points you are revising in Anki, you will need to alter certain cards with hints of some sort, aside the "Usage" description, as there are, for example, some cards within the same grammatical concept description, which end in "である" and/or "だ/です" which equally fit the description, though not for the particular card. This is why I decided to create the original deck Recognition style. Even in the Tae Kim grammar deck, many of the close-deletions are ambiguous and I think what is essentially memorising the hint within the [...close deletion] has less to do with recognizing the grammatical function and comprehending it and more to do with rote memorising an arbitrary "fact". Therefore you will have to, if using said deck, carefully create custom hints- keeping in mind that with over 5000 cards and hundreds of different concepts, there are bound to be (well, there are) similar concepts which could probably facilitate the same English concept. Perhaps opting for Japanese hints may provide some more relative to the concept when you are reading it, provided it does not become a distraction. After I finish creating and uploading the Close deck, I will be going over the spreadsheet so I can give attention to each "card" and correct any mistakes (I'm sure in 5365 cards there would be). Once it is sufficiently edited (subject to person whim) I will be uploading the deck/s to Anki servers, and create a Google Docs spreadsheet for both decks, for public usage. Well, anyone can do that now if they want (a few people have been downloading it) though I will be doing it myself eventually for those who don't mind the wait. I don't technically own the contents, so anyone can do anything they want with it. Maybe those keen on using the data towards a group project or something. さすが、 Another long post. ![]() EDIT: Cloze deck uploaded. See first page for link. DoBJG Anki Deck - pmnox - 2013-11-08 uisukii Wrote:*update*Thanks. Good job. Is this the final version of the recognition deck. Are you planning to do make any other changes to it? DoBJG Anki Deck - ktcgx - 2013-11-08 Thank you for your hard work! DoBJG Anki Deck - blueshift - 2013-11-09 Indeed, this is a wonderful resource. I had been going through ADOBJG and manually making my own deck, but this is far better and much better organized. Thank you. DoBJG Anki Deck - uisukii - 2013-11-09 pmnox Wrote:Are you planning to do make any other changes to it?The main changes will be corrections such as typographical errors, mislabeled rows, mismatching sentences, etc. I would like to have a "JLPT" column added and possibly a column with something like "particle, adverb, verb, structure", etc. Though those two are peripheral at the moment. After the main corrections I will be recreating the cloze and non-cloze Anki decks and uploading them to Anki servers for other, non-コーヒー forum goers to have access to. Depending on how I feel about the overall after editing the main content, I may opt to add those extra columns and add them to the decks. Will be uploading the spreadsheet to Google Docs and putting the link on the first page, after I finish the main editing. DoBJG Anki Deck - uisukii - 2013-11-11 Final post on both the forum and this thread. Individual links directing to mediafire individual files have now been changed to match the main directory containing four folders containing related Japanese study resources. I won't go into detail as the folders are clearly marked. It is up to the user to download the deck, etc. they desire. Everything is clearly labeled so it should not be an issue. The DoJG related spreadsheets and decks will be updated, though I will no longer be updating the update information here. You'll just have to check at a later date and see for yourself. Decided not to upload the spreadsheet to Google Docs. Though anything and everything you find within the links of both the front page of this thread, and by following the "website" link under and to the right of my user name, is free to use, abuse, repackage, redistribute, re-whatever-you-damn-well-please-to-doする . It may take up to a month from this post, for both Anki decks to leave their "beta" stage and becoming a first proper/final/whatever product. At that stage I will be uploading them to Ankiweb. So, I guess, in around a month, or less, if you don't want to use my mediafire account, look for them on Ankiweb, called something like "Dictionary of Japanese Grammar Series Complete/Cloze", or something similar. I'll be posting a link to this thread in the description over at Anki, for 'validation' purposes. Still plan to add those extra two columns to the spreadsheet, then Anki decks, as expressed in the previous post. So yeah... that's about it. Will no longer be using the site, instead focusing more interesting time-sinks, such as Japanese (that thing some of us enjoy as a scarcity between hours of time wasted on the Internet, and such of the the like). えっとネ… 桜とかビールとか「元気」など と言うことは ほんとに素晴らしい世界ですよね では、さよなら DoBJG Anki Deck - qwertyytrewq - 2013-12-07 I know you're abandoning this forum but just wondering on the progress. Is it at or close to final yet? DoBJG Anki Deck - qwertyytrewq - 2013-12-13 Hmm, on the same day I posted, OP's post was deleted and a few days ago, deregistered? DoBJG Anki Deck - NinKenDo - 2013-12-19 What was going on in this thread before OP destroyed it? DoBJG Anki Deck - pmnox - 2013-12-19 NinKenDo Wrote:What was going on in this thread before OP destroyed it?There were pretty nice decks containing all grammar from Dictionary of Basic, Intermediate & Advanced Japanese Grammar books. I'm glad I made a copy on time xD. Since there is no interface that allows owner to delete the forum account, I'm convinced that uisukii was banned by the administrator. DoBJG Anki Deck - Flamerokz - 2013-12-19 pmnox Wrote:Since there is no interface that allows owner to delete the forum account, I'm convinced that uisukii was banned by the administrator.Alternatively uisukii could have just asked the Administrator to delete his accounts; a banned account displays differently if I recall correctly. DoBJG Anki Deck - ktcgx - 2013-12-19 IIRC from a time when there was a weirdo posting annoying things up about Heisig being crap etc, banned accounts have "banned" underneath the user's name. I'm pretty sure I remember uisukii saying s/he would be quitting this forum after posting the decks to anki to better pursue their Japanese studies without distraction? DoBJG Anki Deck - RawToast - 2013-12-19 I think the account has been deleted. Banned or closed accounts state that the account is closed/banned and remain in the user list. I am not sure why the OP was edited outside of possible copyright concerns -- only uisukii knows. I don't see any reason why you can't put the decks on ankiweb and credit uisukii and this thread for the work. He should be posting a V2/enhanced version on ankiweb soon. DoBJG Anki Deck - qwertyytrewq - 2013-12-19 The reason I bumped this thread earlier this month was because uisukii said that he would finish or close to finishing whatever he's doing in early to mid-December. At the same time (early December), I was browsing his Mediafire account (that is still active* even though all the links in this thread was deleted), and the data he had in his account was last updated like early to mid November so either he didn't finish it or he did finish but didn't upload to mediafire yet. *Actually, I lost uisukii's mediafire link. I'm sure I can find it again if uisukii's forum account was reactivated (so that I can search his past posts). He deleted many posts but not all of them. That's how I refound his mediafire account link. And then lost again. DoBJG Anki Deck - RawToast - 2013-12-20 I have emailed uisukii and asked about his mediafire account. I didn't remove his account and have the same issue as you with the search. Your best bet to find it if he doesn't get back to me might be searching for his posts using google magic. DoBJG Anki Deck - ファブリス - 2013-12-20 uisukii's account was deleted on request, but not his/her posts. Did posts really disappear or did you not find them with the search feature? This is something I hadn't considered. Indeed deleting the account will prevent searching posts by username (not sure about exact behaviour I'm away from home atm). This could be one good reasons for me to no longer accept account deletion in the future. Let's discuss it in the "Where is uisukii" thread. All of the Koohii forum mediafire links I found were irrelevant. ファブリス Wrote:Did posts really disappear or did you not find them with the search feature? This is something I hadn't considered. The only posts that disappeared were the ones in this thread.
