Writing kanji during reviews - ファブリス - 2006-07-26 If you write the kanji during reviews you probably have piles of A4 paper filled with these wonderful chinese characters. This is a really simple trick but I thought I'd share anyway : if you use lined paper (just the horizontal lines), you can turn it 90 degree (so the page layout is "landscape" instead of "portrait"), and then write the kanji going from top to bottom (and for full Japanese flavour, right to left ). Leave one empty "column" between the columns of characters. The vertical lines help keeping the proportions between characters. If you leave just a little vertical spacing between characters, it can look really cool, try it!
Writing kanji during reviews - fiminor - 2006-07-26 Sounds like a cool idea! I have to admit, there's something very satisfying at looking back at a whole page of really neat kanji that you've just written. At home though, I often review using a magnetic drawing board (if you live in Japan - 百円 store is perfect, but I'm sure they needn't be expensive in other countries). Cuts down on the amount of paper you get through. It's also great for studying with other people - a friend and I occasionally test each other by writing song titles or movie titles in kanji and challenging each other to guess what they are. Writing kanji during reviews - wrightak - 2006-07-26 I use paper filled with squares. The same that Japanese kids use to practice their kanji. Although I go for quite small squares so that I don't get used to writing huge kanji. Writing kanji during reviews - Immacolata - 2006-07-27 Genkou youshi paper its called、原稿用紙. I found some print-it-your-self templates for word and adobe acrobat on the internet after googling for it. Worth a shot if you have a laser. |
