Hey everyone my friend found this subgroup that uploads just about all the recent anime's as new show's come out with the Japanese subtitles included. The video's are good quality too. The only place I knew where to get Japanese subtitles before was from --kitsunekko.net --- but those subtitles were never correctly timed to the shows I "would not download".
Go to Nyaatorrents and look for whatever show you want with the tag [Kamigami] at the end. But I'm not telling you to download anything of course.

Yes but Kitsunekko are not timed properly with any video's so their as good as garbage in terms of actually using it for the video itself and not just separate study material.

I don't know about VLC, but with MPC you can simply use the F1 and F2 keys to alter the sub delay, fixing it on the go.

It's a very important but probably still easy to miss feature
Sometimes they're so off that it's time consuming to get them synced, but it's worth it when you think about how Japanese subs are scarce in the first place.

It takes maybe a minute if you know what your doing.
Rename the sub file to the same name as your video. Start playing the video. Wait for the first voiced line, then shift everything backwards so it matches. Then look for the long commercial gaps, then shift subs from that point on backward the length of the commercial break. The first episode of a show takes the longest because you know know how long the commercials are. But once you have done one episode, all the commercial break lengths should be the same length for the entire series. (And probably that network's timeslot.)

@Daichi: I didn't know that once you retimed something, you could reuse this timing pattern for the same show when it comes to commercial breaks. Thanks for that hint. I am watching a lot of Detective Conan, so.

Once I've synced the first subtitle, it's just a matter of scanning for 60+ second commercial gaps and subtracting a preset amount of time. Normally I only need to locate the middle commercial break, Since the OP credits break is very easy to spot with your eyes, especially if the show has a line like "♪♪～（オープニングテーマ）"
And I can retime the rest while simultaneously watching the show, like during the OP credits if I really need to pay attention to the content. I guess I should note I do have a dual monitor setup, so Aegisub and my video player can be fullscreen.
Also, if it's that big of a deal, and you don't want to re-time subtitles for such shows, then you can find the raw transport streams that include the commercial breaks... If you don't mind 2+ GBs per episode.
