You might wonder why you'd watch someone else play a game, but it can be as fun as TV series in my opinion. If the game is interesting, if the player is an entertaining commentator, and if you're watching it on NicoNico (special comment system), you've got visual, aural, and text based contexts, and it feels like you're watching it together with a community

This is tangentially related, but I love the Korean Pro StarCraft Brood War scene (well, used to love it, not much left of it, they moved on to Starcraft II).
I'm yet to find any Japanese commentaries though. Does anyone know of any? I'd love to watch them.
