Kanji stories that focus on stroke order? - lardycake - 2013-02-20

You may know that children in Japan are taught the kanji 女 and told that it is made up of く, ノ, and 一.

くノ一 = female ninja

This is a great way of learning the stroke order since you are writing the individual parts of the kanjiin the order of the word.

Does anybody know of any resource with a collection of similar stories? I find them useful and also enjoy learning them for the fun of it.

Generally once you learn a few hundred you start to get a feel for the rules that govern stroke order and can produce them without really devoting any effort to it. Or at least the rules of primitive order/positioning, and then you can just memorize the primitives themselves.

The non-forum part of this site? Your very example
Or were you implying those stories don't focus on stroke order enough (which may be true for the top 5 of any given kanji but likely false if you look at more)?
