Notifacations when your stories becomes a Favorite? - zazen666 - 2007-12-27

I have been done with RTK for a while now and have been spending most of my time trying to move the cards to the last stack and going back to tighten up weaker stories. I was pleasantly surprised that a few of my stories did well and became favorites.

With a regular review, I don"t really check my stories, so I really have no idea which stories are rated well with out looking at the kanji in the study section. And usually, if I successfully pass the Kanji I dont use the study section.

It seems that it would be be a nice feature to be notified when one's stories becomes favorite, or even 2nd place. I know It would encourage me to share more of my stories. (I have stories that I never shared just cause I didn't want to take the time to type up the story without errors-making quick notes was often enough for me.)

Is this a programing nightmare? Are there other users who would like to see this feature?

I also think it's a good idea!
A good story makes memorizing a kanji an easy task.

I would be happy just knowing when a story of mine has been starred, unstarred, or reported.

This is something I've requested in a few threads, although lets leave fuaburisu to get the Trinity section done, although this is definetely something that will make the Profile page a little more interesting.

I really don't see it as a programming nightmare, a few SQL queries and a script to parse the results into a html page, although the setup of the sites database may make things difficult.

I can see it two ways:

First, another column in your Kanji list that shows how many stars your story for that kanji has gotten (and possible a negative mark column too).

For your profile, the total number of stars you've received can be listed.

To be fair, I think there's a little bit (or a lot) of group think that goes into the starring. You see that story at the top with 15 stars, maybe you feel it's worth a star yourself. Doesn't invalidate it mind you. Just a thought I had.
