Aozora Bunko text for Kindle (mobi) - insanelysick - 2013-01-18 Apologies if this has been posted before but I found a site that has Aozora Bunko text ready made into mobi files that you can put on your kindle. MOBIぞら文庫 Which means no more PDF conversions and the paperwhite can look up words in teh dictionary! Happy days! Aozora Bunko text for Kindle (mobi) - NickT - 2013-01-20 Interesting, thanks! I tried it and it works pretty good. Easy to transfer to the Kindle via USB, and dictionary lookup works by touching the words. However, it comes out as horizontal text (unlike any novel you buy from amazon.co.jp) and also the furigana doesn't display properly - it just shows up in brackets after the word. Am I doing something wrong? Aozora Bunko text for Kindle (mobi) - weirdo - 2013-01-21 Here's what I do: 1. Acquire 青空文庫 format book 2. Stick it into AozoraEpub3 to acquire .epub file http://www18.atwiki.jp/hmdev/pages/21.html 3. Stick that file into Kindle Previewer to get a .mobi file http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000765261 4. Enjoy a file with embedded images (if there are any), dictionary look-ups, vertical text, and ruby/furigana in tact. Details are here http://ebookyaro.blogspot.jp/2012/10/kindle-paperwhite-epub3.html Aozora Bunko text for Kindle (mobi) - insanelysick - 2013-01-21 Weirdo you are awesome! That is even better, although a bit longer its worth it. I think the new beta can make mobi files directly (can't try it though as it looks for kindlegen.exe and I don't use a windows machine) This also works on books from other sources. Can't thank you enough mate! After that you can convert txts with a drag-and-drop and a click. For Windows, anyway. Aozora Bunko text for Kindle (mobi) - onami - 2015-01-29 I used Aozora (1.0b38 and 1.0.7) with kindlegen v2.9, and all works fine except that when I try to look up a word, my Paperwhite (2nd gen) selects the whole sentence instead. I tried different books (including http://www.aozora.gr.jp/cards/000148/card773.html), but the result is the same. What am I doing wrong? PS I've found a workaround for this. Just in case, I'll leave it here. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/forums/kindleqna/ref=cs_hc_k_search_res?ie=UTF8&forumID=Fx1FI6JDSFEQQ7V&cdThread=Tx3G68EZ3944WEZ&cdPage=1&cdMsgId=Mx1LS74AL9WG116#Mx1LS74AL9WG116 Wrote:Ah, I think I figured it out. Amazon probably broke Japanese highlight support for filetypes other than .azw3 with the update. For files I send to Kindle by email it works because they're automatically converted to .azw3, files I moved with Calibre are still .mobi so it doesn't. Might be they do some processing to figure out the places to highlight and put that info in the file too, it seems to work better than before. Aozora Bunko text for Kindle (mobi) - vebaev - 2015-01-29 Sorry for intruding into the post but my question is also related to Aozora Bunko format. I have text in simple txt (no furigana), how can I convert it in Aozora Bunko text with furigana? The reason is that I have iBunkoS for iphone which can open Aozora files?
