A tool to help you read Japanese - Tigoris - 2013-01-10 Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about a reading tool called the "Yotsubato! Reading Pack." It's designed to help you take the leap into reading Japanese and learning by immersion. Check out the link below to see what it's all about. An important note to make is that while this reading pack is for sale, you can get it for free if you so choose. The primary goal here is to help people to stop studying Japanese and start using it. With that said... Good luck in your learning (and reading)! http://www.livingjapanese.com/p/reading-pack.html A tool to help you read Japanese - lauri_ranta - 2013-01-11 It would also be useful to have lists of less common vocabulary items that could be reviewed before reading each volume or chapter. I didn't have anything better to do, so I used a script to find words that weren't in Core 6000 and selected some of them manually. The list is in random order and only includes words with at least one kanji. 一走り;ひとはしり;spin, run 粗品;そしな;a small present 冷え性;ひえしょう;sensitive to cold 付いて来る;ついてくる;to follow 資源ゴミ;しげんゴミ;recyclable garbage 格好悪い;かっこうわるい;uncool 恵那;えな;Ena 町内会;ちょうないかい;neighborhood association 風鈴;ふうりん;wind chime 疾走;しっそう;dash 台詞;せりふ;line 朝餉;あさげ;breakfast 見損なう;みそこなう;to misjudge, to mistake 大まか;おおまか;broad, rough お留守;おるす;to be away from home 先っぽ;さきっぽ;tip 何才;なんさい;how old 慰め;なぐさめ;comfort 仰る;おっしゃる;say, tell (very polite) 丸出し;まるだし;bare 大塚;おおつか;Ootsuka 父方;ちちかた;father's side of the family 嗜好;しこう;preferences 油蝉;あぶらぜみ;large brown cicada 発進;はっしん;departure 空き家;あきや;empty house 反動;はんどう;reaction 翻訳家;ほんやくか;translator 上村;うえむら;Uemura 未確認飛行物体;みかくにんひこうぶったい;unidentified flying object 綾瀬;あやせ;Ayase 格好つける;かっこうつける;to show off 長靴;ながぐつ;boots 小岩井;こいわい;Koiwai 回覧板;かいらんばん;circulating notice ご覧;ごらん;to look (polite) 誤魔化す;ごまかす;to deceive, to dodge (a question) 大した;たいした;considerable 必殺技;ひっさつわざ;special move 電柱;でんちゅう;telephone pole 地球温暖化;ちきゅうおんだんか;global warming 風香;ふうか;Fuuka 省電力;しょうでんりょく;conservation of electrical power 回収;かいしゅう;collect 産む;うむ;to give birth 復活;ふっかつ;recovery 馬鹿野朗;ばかやろう;dumbass A tool to help you read Japanese - enf2k5 - 2013-01-30 Bought it yesterday, and i think it is really well done for the (reasonable) price asked. Since Yotsubato is mentioned quite often here as beginner manga this is a nice addition to it in my opinion. A tool to help you read Japanese - lauri_ranta - 2013-01-31 You're right, it was my error and not in the original PDF. Anyway, if you continue this project, I can try to write scripts for adding word difficulties automatically. (Or depending on the licensing, republish the lists with other additional information as well.) It would be great to have SRS-able vocabulary lists for different mangas. A tool to help you read Japanese - Stansfield123 - 2013-02-01 My favorite part is the sentence pack. Wish it was a little bit longer, it's a really great little addition to my sentence deck, as I'm reading the manga. A tool to help you read Japanese - Stansfield123 - 2013-02-02 Finished reading it. Nice ending to the volume, well worth the effort just for that. A tool to help you read Japanese - Tigoris - 2013-02-15 Hey guys, after hearing a few people say that they wanted the vocabulary in a more Anki-friendly format, I went ahead and made decks to include in the pack. There are more than 1200 cards. Hope this makes the pack even more helpful!
