I ll try and make a list here.

That is one meaning of the kanji, although not the primary one.

From Koujien:
会(え)
③さとること。理解すること。「会得・会釈」

From Kanjigen:
⑧<カイす>{動}思い当たる。そうかと悟る。気持ちにかなう。

Koujien also has さとり知る for 会する.

Now, whether this definition should be in whatever you're looking at I don't know; it's not a "mistake" in the sense that the meaning is totally wrong, but it's not even close to the most common meaning.

Tanos decks are very bad. Avoid at all costs. Wrong words and wrong meanings are not uncommon at all.

which deck would you use for jlpt vocabulary?

I make my own. I start with ALC JLPT vocab books and then go to other lists. I usually use the lists in the Japanese iPhone app, but that one, too, has a lot of extra and misplaced words for N3 and above. Sometimes the meanings are really vague too. I do use Tanos too, but I don't use his English translations. I would guess about 1-10% have wrong translations or usage, so I discard what he has entirely.
