Compare your Anki Graphs - Zlarp - 2012-11-08 From what I can read, many of the people here are using the website's software to review their Kanji. Some of us, however, are using Anki. One of the things I like a lot about Anki is the cool graphs it produces for your learning progress. It's inspiring to see how much better you start knowing things in such a short amount of time. I had a recall rate of 88% today, which I feel is amazing considering I had somewhere around 70-ish yesterday and my average was below even that. It's nice to see the forecasts for reviews and that they're becoming less and less each day at a very high rate. This got me interested in what other people's Anki graphs might look like. I started RTK only about 4 weeks ago, so there's not that much information for me yet, but I'd love to see your long term graphs as well to see how those pan out. So, without further ado, here's my graph: My Anki Graph The whole slew of "relearn" reviews I've done was probably because I made the mistake of picking the "4 day" option that Anki gives me when I remembered them the first time - because I didn't want to see the card again in just 10 minutes. I wish I'd known about that learning mode sooner, but in the end it all worked out for me
Compare your Anki Graphs - comeauch - 2012-11-08 Hehe, here's my RTK deck: http://bayimg.com/LAfnbaael I had started it about a year ago, went up to ~200 cards then abandoned it for about a month or two. Since then I've barely skipped a day reviewing! And... my vocab deck: http://bayimg.com/CAfODAaeL Lol, my review count is going exponential... Uh oh. Compare your Anki Graphs - maxthornbow - 2012-11-08 My deck is really aging. I have more mature cards than young ones because I stopped adding new cards for a while. http://bayimg.com/JAfpkAAel Compare your Anki Graphs - netsplitter - 2012-11-08 Here's my vocab deck (core6k). Now here's the same deck but with a yearly view. Can you spot where I started using Anki 2? Yeah, that's why you should switch, too. Compare your Anki Graphs - ryuudou - 2012-11-08 I can't bare my soul just yet. Those mysterious gaps in the review charts... I wonder how they got there. Surely I didn't shamelessly skip some days. Compare your Anki Graphs - Kewickviper - 2012-11-08 Wow all your anki2 graphs look amazing I'm so jealous! I'm too scared that all my decks will break to upgrade to anki2
Compare your Anki Graphs - Zlarp - 2012-11-08 Can't you just make a backup and then try out Anki 2 and if it doesn't pan out go back to Anki 1? Compare your Anki Graphs - Chigun - 2012-11-08 http://bayimg.com/GafBmaAeM Not that much time recorded as much of RtK was covered without Anki. Interested to see 3 chosen the vast majority of the time. Suppose I'm pessimistic favoring 2 more often. Compare your Anki Graphs - Kewickviper - 2012-11-08 I have just switched over to Anki 2 and am very happy I did! Although I had quite a few problems with things and don't like quite a lot of what has changed, it has many features that I absolutely love. New funky Anki2 graph of my RTK deck http://imgur.com/VCrPf
Compare your Anki Graphs - midonnay - 2012-11-08 anki 1.2.8 forever on my nexus 7 so can only post rtk screenshots from ankidroid. reviews http://www.imgur.com/QmtEw.png review time http://www.imgur.com/iB0HS.png Intervals http://www.imgur.com/Lo7rt.png Due http://www.imgur.com/ObzBc.png Compare your Anki Graphs - uisukii - 2012-11-10 http://bayimg.com/GaFiMaaEm This is only really over a period of the fortnight just past I started and completed RtK volume 1, in, so for a more accurate draw I suppose I will need at least another month or so of daily reviewing. Compare your Anki Graphs - Zlarp - 2012-11-12 uisukii Wrote:http://bayimg.com/GaFiMaaEmWow, that's harsh. That 1000 review day... I don't think I could've done that. ... wait, I've done one of those too, actually. Well, almost, in any case. Still, that pace can be harsh, so good on you! http://bayimg.com/eAfcbAAeO here's my newly updated graph. You can see it just keeps getting better for me Today's accuracy was at 93.1% and more often than not my wrong answers have been on the easy ones. Review times are starting to approach 1 hour or less, which is the point at which I'll consider myself to have made it. Not that I'll stop reviewing, of course. I've heard the horror stories
Compare your Anki Graphs - vix86 - 2012-11-12 All those afraid of trying to upgrading to Anki2. You do realize that Anki 2 doesn't delete or overwrite your old decks. Anki 2 makes a new massive deck and leaves your old decks alone.
Compare your Anki Graphs - uisukii - 2012-11-12 Zlarp Wrote:You can see it just keeps getting better for meAwesome. I can't wait till the reviews start to get a bit easier. A bit hard on the old brain to attempt to remember a few hundred new kanji added over the space of a day, lol, Quote:Today's accuracy was at 93.1% and more often than not my wrong answers have been on the easy ones.Nice. It's usually the simple/older/easier ones I find myself forgetting, even though a lot of them are part of more complex kanji. Though, that's what the SRS is there for, I suppose. Quote:Review times are starting to approach 1 hour or less, which is the point at which I'll consider myself to have made it.Give it a year or two and your reviews will probably end up being 30 minutes every day or so- or at least I hope.
Compare your Anki Graphs - NoSleepTilFluent - 2012-11-12 Man i like all these graphs I'm afraid to upgrade because I confused by the whole one deck thing. For example right now I like to add around 25 core words and occasionally add 5 kanji from rtk3 if I upgrade is it all going to be mushed together and make my life harder to add what I want? Also I almost exclusively use anki mobile because I'm in college. Compare your Anki Graphs - vix86 - 2012-11-12 If you have questions about Anki 2. Then theres a user manual, read it. It answers these questions. http://ankisrs.net/docs/manual.html And heres stuff on ankimobile. http://ankisrs.net/docs/am-changes.html Compare your Anki Graphs - tguk911 - 2012-11-14 http://bayimg.com/oAFEoAaeP I've only been using anki 2 for a couple months now and I get what all the graphs are except the interval is that the time between the steps i.e good(1d)-easy(17d) or something else. Compare your Anki Graphs - Zlarp - 2012-11-14 The intervals tell you in what "box" the cards are, so to speak. That is, the better you know a card, the more time it'll take until you need to see it again, and the interval shows you how many cards you know how well and exactly how long you can wait before having to see them again. Compare your Anki Graphs - tguk911 - 2012-11-15 Yeah that's what I thought so like if my options are Again(<10m), Hard(8d), Good(17d), and Easy(22nd) and I click Good(17d) then that would be added to the 17 days interval. That's basically what it becomes. Compare your Anki Graphs - KanjiMood - 2012-11-15 As soon as I stopped checking stats/graphs, my learning rate went way up. It really set me free from the grip Anki over had me I'd say the stats part is all BS to be honest. I fail it, so what? Just seeing it jogs my memory a bit which is enough, and I can blaze through a ton of cards in no time.
Compare your Anki Graphs - Zlarp - 2012-11-15 Yup, it's important not to get hung up on stats. I sometimes find myself cheating, but as for now I'm able to catch myself, undo the review, and fail it as I should have. Made me get only 90% retention today, but hey, what can you do?
Compare your Anki Graphs - Inny Jan - 2012-11-15 So you didn’t remember the card and think to be easy on yourself and select Hard (instead of Fail)? You might as well remove that card from your deck TBH. The fact is that you can’t remember it so what’s the point of reviewing it at all? Cheating is pointless and totally waste of time. Stats are there so you can monitor your progress not to instrument it.
