Hang drum session at Kyoto Uni :) - Zorlee - 2012-11-16 お久しぶりです! Just wanted to share some music with you guys! ![]() I often practice my Hang (often called Hang drum) outside when the weather is fine, so the other day I brought it along with me to my university and did a quick session in front of the famous clock-tower at Yoshida campus. It was great fun - and when I was recording this video a kind lady came over to talk to me about my instrument, so there's a little conversation in Japanese in there as well! I hope you guys like it! Hang drum session at Kyoto Uni :) - uisukii - 2012-11-16 Wow, what a magical sound. That was excellent; something I've never heard before. How long have you been playing? Too awesome. Hang drum session at Kyoto Uni :) - magamo - 2012-11-16 That's a cool instrument. It's nice playing too. How much control do I have over the duration of each note? Does it have some kind of mechanism to mute/sustain individual notes? Or am I supposed to control them by changing where I hit and how hard? I like how it sounds like a mix of a drum and an xylophone. Hang drum session at Kyoto Uni :) - tashippy - 2012-11-17 magamo Wrote:That's a cool instrument. It's nice playing too.
