I literally signed up today after months of lurking and studying with resources from here. Started going through Core 2k6k, AJATT, Tae Kim Grammar, and working on my own J-J Cards. I also have a job and other responsibilities, so I adjusted Anki to 10 a day and review 10 a day to ensure I wouldn't freak out. It's been a good few weeks since I started this journey(At the no and ya particles of Tae kim, and getting into more complex sentences and Kanji for core), so it's still new, but at the same time everything is starting to click. I can actually navigate some of the Playstation Store, I can navigate parts of 2ch, I can read parts of websites and my ps3 version of J-stars, and it's just wonderful. I'm hoping to get in on the JLPT this year, because I am growing ever more confident in my abilities.
I have been talking about learning Japanese for years, and the two years of high school Japanese really didn't do anything. I went so long without using what I knew it deteriorated. Thanks to you guys though, I have been excelling at this and can't wait until the day I can post here I passed the JLPT N1. Until then I'm gonna start being more involved in the community, helping new people, and posting updates. Thanks so much everyone!
