As those who've moved past RTK3 to add their own kanji may already know, the "custom selection" field under "manage flashcards" doesn't allow kanji outside of the CJK Unified Ideographs range to be added.

In particular, there are 282 Jinmeiyou kanji left over that aren't covered by RTK1 and RTK3 (+ the 38 deleted kanji from old RTK3). Of those 282, only 225 of them can be added to koohii, leaving 57 Jinmeiyou kanji that cannot be entered into koohii:

Looking through Unihan and Unicode blocks on Wikipedia, I see that the kanji above can be found in CJK Compatibility Ideographs. Are there plans to allow kanji from this range to be added? It's fortunately not a big range, and it would really help those on this site who want to complete the Jinmeiyou list. Thank you!

Do you really need to add those? They're just minor variations on standard characters.

I know, but it'd help me keep track of which kanji forms are in the official government lists, and which ones aren't. Especially since a lot of forms with the 示 radical on the left side are on the Jinmeiyou list, while others are not.

Some people are just very pedantic, which is a good thing IMO.

eh, those are almost like differences in calligraphic style, although I understand the stroke order/stroke count is altered

honestly i don't see the point in having unsimplified kanji in the jinmeiyou list - kanji with different readings etc sure, but 犬 for 大 and things like that are pointless because it's the same kanji we're talking about.

I know, but it'd be great to know on a whim whether or not a certain kanji's variant is part of the Jouyou/Jinmeiyou officially, or not part of the lists at all (Hyougai).
